Party Poker
Party Poker was once the biggest poker room online but since they do not accept US players after the UEIGA they are still one of the biggest. Excellent promotions and tournaments and some of them are their famous annual Party Poker Millions, a weekly $300,000 guaranteed tournament and many different freeroll tournaments are available. They offer $6 million in tournaments every month. Game variety is decent, but not excellent, but the software is nice and if you enjoy some good tournaments this is the place for you. High levels of player traffic at popular hours.
Software
Party Poker has a downloadable version and a no-download version which can be used by Mac or Linux players. The software is available in several different languages. Layout options are available and the lobby runs smooth. The software is updated frequently to ensure safety and stability, but there is almost any downtime at all at the site. The software offers a number of great features such as player notes, hand history and auto-resize for tables. An innovative function at Party Poker that is unique to Party Poker is their Deal Making facility which allows players in a tournament to agree to a deal at the final table and split the chips between them. The software added clear graphics, enhanced multi tabling options, a quick-seat function and live action preview in 2007. Players can now customize their images. Unfortunately, Party Poker only provides average pot size statistics for ring games so they are a bit lacking in this area.
Traffic
There is approximately 9,500 ring game players and a further 60,000 tournament players. Which makes this site one of the largest.
Available Games & Stakes
Party Poker offers a decent game variety to choose from including all variations of Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo. NL, PL and FL are available and there are also shorthanded and heads up tables. Party Poker offers ring games, single table tournaments and multi table tournaments. Stakes range from $0.05/$0.10 to $250/$500 in limit games and $0.02/$0.04 to $25/$50 in PL and NL games.
